Citation for the award of Commander of the Order of the British
"TRINDER, Frank Noel, A/C (Royal Air Force) - Allied Expeditionary Air Force, Command Headquarters.
This officer has been in charge of administrative planning in the Allied Expeditionary Air Force since its inception. The work has demanded not only skill but almost continuous long hours of duty and a complete lack of personal consideration. Air Commodore Trinder has, by his unstinting efforts, made a major contribution on the administrative side of the Allied Expeditionary Air Force."
