Mobile Signals Unit

This unit was formed at Miho, Japan in March 1946 and disbanded in June 1946.

This unit was formed in the Middle East in March 1943.  It later moved to Beirut in the Lebanon as well as other locations in the Middle East.  In February 1944 it was under the control of AHQ Levant and disbanded in August 1944.

No 105 Mobile Signals Unit

This unit was formed on 12 February 1943 from No 5 Medium Heavy Mobile W/T Unit.  In February 1944 it was under the control of No 201 Group, having moved to Italy in November 1943, then to Corsica, southern France and Greece (Athens) before returning to Italy in March 1945, where it disbanded in June 1945.


No 106 Mobile Signals Unit

This unit was formed at Aboukir in April 1943.  In February 1944 it was under the control of Middle East Command on a 'Number Plate' basis and disbanded in January 1944.

This unit was probably formed in the Middle East but a date for this formation as yet to be found.  In February 1944 it was under the control of No 201 Group but a disbandment date has not yet been found.


No 226 Mobile Signals Unit

This unit was formed in the Middle East in December 1942.  It was based in Libya then Jerusalem, Palestine and disbanded in November 1945.

Mobile Signals Unit, Allied Expeditionary Air Force (AEAF).

This unit was formed at Chigwell in July 1944.  It moved to France in September, being located at various locations including Versailles and Reims before moving into Germany at Frankfurt and disbanded in July 1945.
