No 151 Wing Personnel, units and locations

This was formed at Leconfield on 26 July 1941 as No 151 (Fighter) Wing for service with "Force Benedict", which was to operate the Hurricanes of Nos 81 and 134 Squadrons from bases in northern Russia.  It moved to Hendon in August before sailing for Russia, arriving at Archangel on 30 August, moving on to Vaenga on 7 September 1941.  After taking part in a number of operations and also training Russian pilots and ground crew the Wing returned to UK on 16 November leaving the Hurricanes, which were handed over to the Soviet Navy and disbanded on 24 November 1941.
