25 Jan 1939 Formed as No 911 (Balloon) (County of Warwick) Squadron as part of the Auxiliary Air Force at Phoenix Works, Tyburn Road, Edgbaston, Birmingham
13 Feb 1939 Squadron inaugurated and attestation of first recruits into the Auxiliary Air Force
16 Jun 1939 Squadron moved to No 5 Balloon Centre, Whitehouse Common, Sutton Coldfield
24 Aug 1939 All Auxiliary personnel were called up for mobilisation and squadron was embodied
25 Aug 1939 3 x War Sites - 20, 22 and 23, were occupied
29 Aug 1939 Site 19 was occupied
30 Aug 1939 Site 15 was occupied
