RAF Cape Flight - Personnel and locations


[Mar 1926 | Jul 1926]

This was formed on 6 November 1925 at RAF Northolt and left by ship for Egypt on 22 November.  It left RAF Heliopolis on 1 March 1926 and arrived in Cape Town in April.  It left Cape Town on 19 April 1926  and arrived back at Heliopolis on 27 May.  After the aircraft were overhauled at the RAF Depot, Aboukir, they were fitted with floats and the Flight flew back to the UK on 9 June 1926 arriving at Lee-on-Solent on 21 June.
