HQ No 8 Group Personnel, locations and units

This Group was originally formed on 1 April 1918 within No 2 Area at 1 Cumberland Place in Southampton becoming No 8 (Training) Group on 8 August 1918, disbanding on 15 May 1919.

It reformed on 1 September 1941 at Brampton Grange in Huntingdonshire as No 8 (Light Day Bomber) Group but this role was taken over by the USAAF and it disbanded on 28 January 1943.
