HQ No 226 Group Personnel, locations and units

[Dec 1943 | Jun 1944 | Jun 1945 | Jul 1945 | Aug 1945 | Sep 1945 | Jul 1946]

This Group was initially formed as No 22 (Fighter) Group at Singapore on 18 January 1942, but had probably ceased to exist by 1 February as a new No 226 (Fighter) Group was formed at P1 (Palembang) on that date to control 50 Hurricanes off HMS Indomitable.  This was last heard of on Java in March 1942

It reformed as No 226 (Maintenance) Group at Drigh Road on 9 May 1942, before moving to Clifton in Karachi on 16 June 1942 and then to Palam on 16 January 1943.
