Air Defence of Great Britain - April 1944

At this time, a great majority of fighter units had been allocated to 2nd Tactical Air Force and prior to moving to airfield on the continent, these units were acting in a mobile role in preparation and therefore many of the stations shown below would have had units of 2 TAF operating from them but they were not listed in the SD161s as they were constantly changing.
