Recommendation for the award of Officer of the Order of the British Empire (not awarded)

"HUNT, Alfred William, W/C (26035 Royal Air Force) - Department of Chief of the Air Staff

This officer is Assistant Director of Ground Defence. For nearly three years he has carried a heavy burden of work with the most unsparing devotion to duty.  During the grave days in the summer of 1940, when we had urgently to improvise aerodrome defence, he rendered valuable services, especially before the appointment of Director of Ground Defence."
