'Q' Force Personnel, units and locations


[Aug 1920]

This was formed in July 1920, embarking on the SS Tambov at Alexandria on 8 July destined for Constantinople.  On arrival it was initially located at Feneraki.

It embarked on HMS Ark Royal on 1 September 1920 and set sail on 4 September.  It arrived in Basrah and disembarked  on 25 September, although its official disbandment was backdated to 4 September.
