14 Sep 1942 Draft 6000, except flying party, proceeded to No 1 PDC, West Kirby by bus and train, this comprised: -
  •   8 x officers
  • 121 x airmen
  • Equipment tool boxes

After being kitted out and inoculated personnel proceeded on embarkation leave

26 Oct 1942 Rifles and Sten guns were issued
28 Oct 1942 Draft 6000, entrained and proceeded to Greenock, now comprised as follows: -
  •  12 x officers
  • 141 x airmen
29 Oct 1942 Draft 6000, arrived in Greenock and embarked on SS 'Orcassia'
31 Oct 1942 SS 'Orcassia' set sail from the Clyde in convoy

 6 Nov 1942 Flying party departed RAF Portreath and flew to Gibraltar in six Spitfire IVs
