HQ No 215 Group Personnel, locations and units
This Group was formed on 1 May 1942 at Basrah as No 215 (General Reconnaissance) Group. It moved to Zubeila Hospital in Basrah on 9 June 1942 and then to a location near No 29 GCH, Makinah in Basrah on 1 December, being redesignated No 215 (Fighter) (Iraq and Persia) Group at the same time. It disbanded on 1 November 1943 but was still shown in the December 1943 CAFL.
