MAXWELL, RICHARD DOUGLAS HAMILTON

He was killed in a flying accident whilst flying an aircraft of  No 144 Sqn at Hemswell.  His crew comprising, Cpl D S Wissett and AC1 W Dodds were also killed.  He is buried in Harpswell (St Chad) Churchyard.

He was killed in a flying accident whilst flying as a crew member in an aircraft of No 144 Sqn at Hemswell.  The pilot and third crew member, Cpl D S Wissett were also killed.

STONE, LEONARD FRANCIS

He was killed whilst flying as a crew member of Vildebeest, K2942 of No 100 Sqn when it collided with K2941, another Vildebeest of the same unit on the Seletar bombing range.  Another member of the crew, AC W J Ashton was also killed but the pilot, Fg Off Frank Howard Roberts, was rescued, whilst the crew of the other aircraft were uninjured.

He was killed whilst flying as a crew member of Vildebeest, K2942 of No 100 Sqn when it collided with K2941, another Vildebeest of the same unit on the Seletar bombing range.  Another member of the crew, Cpl L F Stone was also killed but the pilot, Fg Off Frank Howard Roberts, was rescued, whilst the crew members of the other aircraft were uninjured.
