On 21 Oct 1952, whilst flying with Lieutenant D Crofts RN, he sighted three 'saucer' shaped objects  at 35,000ft.   ATCC Gloucester confirmed these on radar but the Air Ministry would not confirm them as Extra-terrestrial.
