  2. Organisation and Administration of RAF Aeronautical Inspection Services.

  3. Inspection of explosives in all RAF units in Overseas Commands.

  4. Inspection of danger buildings and explosives storage in all RAF units in Overseas Commands.  Advice on planning, siting and construction of danger buildings in RAF Commands at home and overseas.  Editing of Explosives Regulations for the RAF.

  5. Quality control of aviation fuel, oils and lubricants in RAF Commands overseas.

  6. Representation as necessary on any Air Ministry committees connected with quality control and pre-use inspection.

NB All references to overseas Commands are deemed to include 2nd TAF.

Liaison with DGSM branches on: -

  • provisioning and scale of issue of check test equipment for use in test houses or standards rooms and of test equipment used for final acceptance test of an article.
  • repair schemes to ensure that these contain all essential inspection data.

Technical direction covering control of all 'processes' used in the repair and overhaul of equipment.
